Dialogs were more of energetic than submissive. The lead couple's cut-shots while their adversary is planning to capture them was disheartening. With certain things copied from Hollywood (which is okay as far as it looks genuine), filling the romance (which thank God is platonic) & awkward comic situations in between serious plot points is a let-down. What could've been an eye-opener, these parts make Commando a one-time watch. What Commando lacks as a cinema is the clichéd story, bad editing (three different shots of Vidhyut round-jumping a moving car, are you serious?), average screenplay & clever execution of ample resources. The music is suspending over the weak plot but as a whole, it sure is a grandeur. His tiny tidbits with sharing jokes, showing built-up mercy for his victims & glorious performance brings him in the limelight. Jaideep Ahlawat is stunning & vindictive in his role as the lead villain. She was okay, but needs to take some more acting classes. I cannot say the same with newcomer Pooja who reminded me most of Jab We Met's Kareena Kapoor. Vidhyut Jaamwal is absolutely great as the action hero & I am sure he will come right up. I chose Nautanki Saala! over Commando, but when I finally saw the latter, I was impressed by it. On the whole, 'Commando' shouldn't be missed by the Fanboys of Action-Orinted Cinema.
Jaideep Ahlawat plays the twisted antagonist, most convincingly. He's highly efficient in the Action-Scenes! Pooja Chopra looks sweet & delivers a very confident performance.
Performance-Wise: Jamwal steals 'Commando'. Dilip Ghosh's Direction is atmospheric, while the Cinematography captures the wildness accurately.
The Screenplay clearly highlights Action. The Action is amongst the best I've seen in a long, long time. Its been witnessed on the screen umpteen times, but what makes 'Commando' worth watching, is the Raw & Brutal Action it offers. 'Commando' is the same old story of the Good versus the Bad. He single handedly makes this film work! 'Commando' Synopsis: A condemned Commando protects an innocent girl from a feared politician. Dilip Ghosh's 'Commando' is Kick-Ass! Lead Star Vidyut Jamwal is one hell of an action-hero & he executes each & every stunt effortlessly.
